i for inchworm craft

What You’ll Need:

  • Light and dark green foam
  • Brown foam
  • a leaf from a tree outside
  • pen & pencil
  • glue/tape
  • scissors

How to Make the ‘i’ for inchworm:

i for inchworm craft
  1. Cut out a lowercase ‘i’ from a piece of a dark brown foam sheet. To make the letters go along with the uppercase letters we’ve done in the past, this letter was cut from a piece of foam that was about 4” x 2”.
  2. Cut out an inchworm the same length as lower half of the ‘i’ and add some stripes and an eye to him.
  3. Cut out a leaf from the dark green foam sheet. I picked a leaf off a tree outside and traced it to make it look nice!
  4. Glue/tape the letter ‘i’ to the leaf as pictured above. Glue the top part of the inchworm to the leaf and secure his bottom with a piece of tape {from the back of the craft}.
  5. Dot the ‘i’ and then take a trip outside to gather more leaves and see if you can find some inchworms of your own!
